Frequently Asked Questions

Is the TU Investment Club recruiting new members in the winter term 2024/24?

Yes, and we are very much looking forward to receiving your application.

Is an application in English mandatory?

Yes, please submit your application in English.

Do I have to be enrolled in a Munich university?

Yes, as we are a Munich based finance society, you should be enrolled either at the TUM, LMU or any other Munich university/college as for example the HSM.

Do I need to bring along my own money in order to participate?

No, you do not need to invest any of your own money as our fund is sponsored by donations.

I have no background in finance or business administration, can I participate?

Club membership is open to any student, regardless of their course of study. Applicants will be judged by their motivation and interest in financial markets and investing. Our junior analyst training will ensure that every member has a sufficient financial knowledge to participate in our investing activities. However, the selection for our external events is usually based on our partner’s recruitment criteria.

Are there minimum requirements to be eligible for admission into the club?

There is no minimum study progress requirement to be eligible for admission into the TU Investment Club.

The Application Process

Apply Online

Apply by filling out the online form and submitting your CV and answering a predefined set of questions explaining your motivation to join the club. As soon as the application window opens, you will find a button named “Apply Now!” below.

Interview

About one week after the application deadline the best applicants will be invited to an interview with some of our senior club members who want to get to know you better.
Interviews will take place on the 8th, 9th and 10th of November 2024.

Become a Member

We will notify you about our decision shortly after the interview. Once you are accepted, you will be invited to all our onboarding events and introduced to your mentor, a senior member who will help you settle in.
The first onboarding event is scheduled for November 13th, followed by a kickoff weekend from November 15th to 17th.
